• electronica & Productronica China increasing its exhibition space to over 20,000 sqm
• More international companies and new pavilions for LED and Automotive
• Innovation Forum offers varied conference program

 With a difficult year behind the electronic industry is ready to go forward again and the electronica & Productronica China 2010 will be a driving-force for a full recovery.

Under the slogan “Engaging the electronics community” the electronica & Productronica China will take place from March16 to 18, 2010 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. The show also increases its exhibition space to over 20,000 sqm in two exhibition halls in comparison to one hall in 2009. Over 350 exhibitors from China and abroad will present the whole range of electronic components, ICs, cable processing, and surface mounting equipment.

More than half of the exhibition space has been reserved by international companies, including electronics components leaders such as Tyco, EPCOS, Omron, Panasonic, Phoenix, Weidmüller, Vishay, ERNI and Harting; IC companies include Infineon, Bosch, Microsemi and Secom; also leading cable processing companies will participate such as Komax, Schleuniger, Shinmaywa, JAM, Kodera and Schaefer.
In addition to this leading domestic players from China will show their new products. Electronic components producers such as Songchuan, Hongfa, Brightking, Degson, Fala and Sanhuan, IC manufacturers like Shanjing, Macmic, Sida, Xinjia and Guchi and cable processing companies such as Yinhua, Junquan, Hebihaichang, Zhenyu and Haipurui will take part in the show.

There will be two national pavilions from Germany and Japan. Eleven German companies will showcase their new products at the “Made in Germany” joint stand supported by the Federal Ministry Economics and Technology (BMWI). Nineteen German companies will be exhibiting with their individual stands.

Further highlights of the show will be two unique pavilions in hall E5 for electronics applications in automotive and LED technology.

Apart from the trade show itself electronica & Productronica China also organizes a series of special conferences and forums under the umbrella of the “Innovation Forum”. The conferences fall into two categories: “application-oriented” conferences on topics such as automotive electronics, power electronics, medical electronics, LED lighting and green manufacturing; and “product-oriented” conferences concerning connectors, LED backlight technology, passive components and cable processing.

The International Conference on Advanced Automotive Electronics Technology, co-organized by Messe München International, the Society of Automotive Engineers of China, and ZVEI – the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers Association, will present the latest and most effective products and technologies in automobile electronics.
The application of automotive electronics in auto safety, control, communication, navigation and infotainment are the main topics at this conference which R&D engineers from FAW, Dongfeng, SAIC, GM, Bosch, Delphi, Infineon, Tyco, and IR will address.

The Symposium on Future Developments and Applications of Power Electronics Technology, covers the whole power electronics spectrum with topics like “Power conversion technology”, “Power quality and renewable energy” and “Frequency-convert technology and electric motor control”. The conference is jointly organized by the China Power Supply Society and Messe München International.

Held for the first time, the 4th Shanghai Innovation and Application Forum on LED Solid State Lighting, organized by the Shanghai Applied R&D Public Service Platform for Solid State Lighting (LED), will promote the application of LED, explore new policies and project opportunities.
The LED Backlight Technology Forumsponsored by EDN China, aims to bring key industry players in the LED industry to engage in discussions on the latest technologies and developments. Forum topics are for example LED Control, LED Driver as well as LED Backlight Applications.

Another premier at electronica & productronica China has the Medical Electronic Technical Seminarwhich will present valuable insights on medical electronic applications for systems design industry representatives. Co-organized by Electronic Application & Design World (EAW) and Messe München International the conference offers discussions on new medical electronic applications and systems, for example long-distance medical monitoring, portable medical equipment, information collection, medical imaging and MEMS.

The 5th International Connector Technology Forum, co-organized with EEPW magazine will provide insights into new applications and innovations in connector products.

The second IPC Electronics Manufacturing Conference will focus on design, electronics assembly and testing in electronics manufacturing.
